• In less than two decades the WHO (World Health Organization) provides cancer increased by 50%. The main causes of this increase are our conduct - hygienic - dietetic and social high risk, such as unbalanced diet, sedentary lifestyle and smoking.

However it is more convenient to give more value to the myths (are what we want and we should believe) before assuming our responsibility to change our risk behaviors.

    Myth:

    The cancer is hereditary.

    Fact:

Only 5-10% of cancers are hereditary, 90-95% are induced (not having relatives who had cancer is no guarantee of having it)

    Myth:

Cancer is not cured and is synonymous with death.

    Fact:

Today it is no longer a death sentence, since 50% of patients are diagnosed early are curable.

    Myth:

Underwire bras are the cause of breast cancer.

    Fact:

There is no evidence to support that assertion however obesity, diet high in animal fats and unbalanced diet is found to be risk factors for breast cancer.

    Myth:

The weight and exercise do not influence the risk of cancer.

    Fact:

Exercising at least 30 minutes for 3 days a week and maintain weight loss prevents cancer by 50% of patients. MYTH: The cell phone causes cancer.

    Myth:

    The cell phone causes cancer.

    Fact:

Studies are still in process of final analysis of this risk, but preliminary results show increased risk of brain cancer.

    Myth:

GM foods are at risk for cancer.

    Fact:

They have not yet been time to get results that confirm this risk. Unknown long-term effects.

    Myth:

Only people with relatives who had cancer should realizase early detection studies.

    Fact:

Cancer is not hereditary, is induced 90-95% of cases therefore 100% of people should be early detection studies. - Mammogram, Pap, PSA.

    Myth:

    Tanning beds are harmful.

    Fact:

If you are harmful and increase the risk of skin cancer by 30%.

    Myth:

Smoking without the "coup" inspiration of the smoke is not a risk factor for cancer.

    Fact:

If you are a risk factor for cancer, and that carcinogens enter the blood to mucosal contact. - Boca.

    Myth:

    Stress causes cancer.

    Fact:

While the findings are divided into four risk factors, emotional stress leads to an improper lifestyle. - Bad diet, alcohol consumption and smoking.

    Myth:

    The microwaves cause cancer.

    Fact:

The waves are non-ionizing microwave (do not damage the DNA of cells) saucers containers microwaveable not release bisphenols contaminating food and this more than the microwave is a risk factor. Use only microwave-safe saucers.

    Myth:

The consumption of sugar increases the risk of cancer.

    Fact:

All human cells of sugar required for its operation is therefore false and it is a risk factor. Obesity is a risk factor if more than the consumption of sugar.

    Myth:

    Fact:

False no discernable increase in cancer with the use of sweeteners.

    Myth:

    4. Verificar el éxito de la terapia
    5. Detectar tumores recurrentes
